Has anyone had any trouble getting audio on Netmeeting? My recieving party can hear me just fine, but the return audio from their end is nonexistent. This problem is not limited to one person, some other's, but not all, have had the same problem with my connection. All Obvious things have been tried, ie:,

It could have been two stations, but it sounded more like one with two audio streams mixed. As an extra added bonus, there was weak CW in the background. I could only make out occasional characters. Probably Cuba. El Jefe's spies have been known to mix in Radio Havana Cuba audio with the numbers.

The trouble is no audio output on the television monitor or the direct audio output jack on the back of the VCR when playing tapes. The audio is good when using the tuner in the VCR. When I record a television program using this machine and then playback, the video is fine but the audio is absent.

Problem with audio on Vista
I am playing the mp3s off of a ext2 partition, but I dont think that would cause taht much trouble. Included is my dmesg, but like I said xanim is working just fine. Is your mpg123 a linux bin, built from current ports, or built yourself? All will likely have somewhat different startup behaviour.

That may be the only way to tell for sure if your trouble is in the sound card or the speakers. There is a lot of sound trouble floating around these days in Fedora and Ubuntu because of the introduction of "pulse audio". Maybe it gets you too. Usually, some programs are able to play sound, though.

Note that on this machine when we want to play audio using Aqualung through the onboard device this is the command in the Gnome launcher: /usr/bin/aqualung -o alsa -d hw:0,0 while if we want to play through the USB device we use this: /usr/bin/aqualung -o alsa -d hw:1,0 Not sure why you'd be having trouble.
